Presented in cooperation with the Wisconsin Union Theater, our staged concert version of Stephen Sondheim's "Follies" will feature a full 27 piece orchestra on stage with a cast of seasoned actors and singers from across Dane County joined by Tony Award Nominee Tom Wopat.
Lodi native Tom Wopat rowed on the UW-Madison crew, played trombone in the UW Varsity Band, sang with Wisconsin Singers, studied at the UW School of Music, and performed lead roles in several UW productions before making his television debut on the popular series "Dukes of Hazzard." Since then he has gone on to a successful recording career and several Broadway roles including Frank (Tony nomination) in "Annie Get Your Gun," Sky Masterson in "Guys and Dolls," Julian Marsh in "42nd Street," Billy Flynn in "Chicago," and James Lingk in "Glengarry Glen Ross."
