In June 2006 Four Seasons Youth Theatre produced the school edition of the beloved musical Les Misérables, based on the novel by Victor Hugo. The production included students ages 9 - 19, with a cast of 45 actors/singers and a student technical staff of 12 interns. Student participants from over 20 Dane County schools were part of the production.

Four Seasons Youth Theatre (a branch of Four Seasons Theatre) provides opportunities for youth involvement in musical theatre productions with a strong emphasis on the learning process. We offer a community based program that highlights performance experience in conjunction with a curriculum which includes vocal coaching, dance training, and character study. In addition, FSYT provides hands-on workshops with local theatre professionals in the backstage arts of costuming, stage makeup, lighting design, and scenic and set design.

The High School Student Backstage Arts Internship Program paired students with theatre professionals who served as the educational faculty and the production staff for the project. Internships included Costume Crew, Wig and Makeup Crew, Lighting, Stage Crew, and Stage Management.
