Four Seasons Theatre closed our second full season with a 50th anniversary production of West Side Story. Featuring a cast of over 45 dancers and singers and a 27 piece orchestra, the production was directed and musical directed by FST Artistic Director Andrew Abrams and choreographed by Katrina Williams Brunner. Maestro John DeMain presented two preshow lectures where he spoke about his work with Bernstein from meeting him as a young student to eventually conducting the 1980 Broadway Revival of West Side Story.
This project was supported by a grant from the Dane County Cultural Affairs Commission with additional funds from the Overture Foundation and Pleasant T. Rowland Foundation. Additional funding was provided by the Madison Arts Commission.
